First trichomes of the season

The five gallon experiment is getting pretty comical.

Growing trees

Really weird. Now that the Larry OG stretched and is starting to flower, really seeming spaced out and lanky. Was super bushy with huge fans during veg. Now not so much.

Trees are looking Good! Why is the five gallon comical? Looks like a pretty Girl to me.

I got a Larry OG going in my yard too, she is the first to flower. Not a huge plant because she was put in late.

Thanks TC. The five gallon one is comical to see her in the tiny pot with a trunk as wide as a beer bottle almost. She's doing great. Just funny seeing the 5 gallon next to all the 30 gallons. The Pineapple Express and Larry were my first two to start to flower. Still waiting on all the others. They seem like they will be really soon. @tcbud where did you pick up that netting? sounds like a good idea to give a try. The yard always looks crazy come sept/oct with stakes and strings everywhere.

Getting started

Came out today after work with some weighed down sagging branches on the super horizontal Cannatonic. Had to add a couple stakes and ties. Otherwise rolling right along

That last one is the same plant that on the home page as POTM tie. A little bit of growth for a it a month eh?

How do you get all that trimming done? Seems like a years worth or more for me...more for sure than I can handle...

I've got a few helpers, and trimming usually lasts for over a month. Also a lot of lower scrappy stuff either ends up getting totaled as a loss if we don't get to it in time, or big fans are removed and full branches are hung which eventually goes to the hash pile. It's definitely a ton of work. Supply myself and others with a full years smoke is def worth it though. Good cured smoke at that! I still have small jars from two years ago a harvest

Tiny little 5gallon pot had to get anchored down. Went out and the wind blew her top heavy butt over.

So first casualty of the season. Looking through em as I was watering today saw a weird shriveled leaves. Low and inside, so not much of a loss, but damn green caterpillars have already started....

Just out watering, turned to find a cluster of like twenty tiny little beetles. Not sure what they are. Never seen black with yellow and white dots before

I think the white stuff is called scale...not sure what type of bugs those are but looks to me like they might be eating the scale...
Not good IMHO....
I'm sure the pros have some solutions...wish I had more to add..
