Jalapeno and Bellpepper

I have a few jalapeno plants and a few Bell pepper plants in my raised beds outside. I harvested some jalapenos and were very large and it looks to me like they've been crossed with the bell pepper plants. Is that even possible? Here's a couple pics

I believe it is possible. I crossed a ghost pepper and a Serrano. My favorite experiment has been growing orange lemons
