How well do you know these "Royal Empress" trees? Do you know they are very invasive? If you live south of the Mason-Dixon you'll never get rid of them, they'll re-seed and take over. But they do look really cool. I think they're from China, but not sure.

There's a forum called GARDEN WEB that is a great resource for all kinds of gardening (except marijuana), and many experienced gardeners that are more than happy to kelp.

I grow Banana trees inside over winter then plant in my yard for the season. They only get to 12-15 feet, and they don't produce fruit, but they look cool in a tropical garden. I don't know anyone else in Minnesota that has Banana trees growing in their yard.

Yeah the seeding from this tree is crazy,I live very near the Ohio river,I'm not to worried about the tree taking over. I grew one from seed last summer, took 45 days to sprout.had it under a t5.and when it was 2 weeks old I moved it under the MH and this thing took off!! I was very impressed with the foliage a d the rate of growth. I ended up transplanting it outside late in the year.don't know if it will live or not.that's why I started this grow. Time everything with spring
