What stage of growth?
Are you opposed to chems ?
Not sure I can answer what it is but I'm pretty convinced Avid would kill it....( only thing that killed my mites a while back)
Also sure Safer has a product line too ....natural bacteria or something for sure would take care of them. But in order for that , you would need to know what it is...

I will try avid. After looking at videos, I am almost 100% it's thripes. It sucks because I'm on a perpetual and they are on my clones all the way to my flowering stage. I am thinking I may have to stop perpetual, so I have a time where my whole tent is empty and keep it cleaner than it is. "Not sure if cleanliness has anything to do with thripes". Anyone know what causes them?

Online pest supplies not to Cali....
My mom buys it at the nursery in NH...

Cleanliness has to do width all my issues to be honest.....

Quarantine all in veg ...check veg first in the room on every time...then flower then leave helps with cross contamination

@surfinc thanks, I just bought some avid. That cost's a pretty penny. If it works, its worth it though. 8oz bottle says it should last me awhile. Once I get rid of them, should I keep spraying to prevent or wait until I see signs again.

I wouldn't use it as a all time sprayer...it's pretty gnarly strong...8 oz is a lifetime supply..
I personally would go towards SNS 309 or whatever they make to add to your watering to be preventive...it's more natural and less harsh I think...might be wrong on that though...

Well. I received the Avid. does 2.5 ml sound right per gallon? Seems a little light, but you did say it was pretty gnarly. The bottle reads to spray foliage every 7 days 5x. I thought I also read every 3 days 5x.

Avid is like a nuke...3 day treatment is for warfare....thrips shouldn't need more than one avid spray and some cleaning in the room...IMHO....
I would also look into the SNS line...

I use organic neem oil to deal with my thripes. Spray once to kill the parent generation, than again after ten days for the following generation. Blue sticky cards will give a good indication as to how well the neem is working.

Also keep the humidity up if you can - thripes really like it dry.

As a preemptive measure you could take a look at amblyseius cucumeris - once they establish a population the tripes won't stand a chance. However they take a while to be effective so it's not really the cure for a current infestation.

Add blue sticky cards to make sure you notice new thripes right away...

I just wanted to report after a nice deep clean and a good spraying of Avid, the problem is gone. I went ahead and bought some Keen oil for preventative spraying. Thanks again for the help guys!
