Organic Coco Light Dep

My outdoor grow started back in the middle of March this year, when I started my seeds off indoors.
The decision to run "Light Dep" had been made during the previous summer after I'd researched the technique.
This year I'm commiting to "manual" light dep, with the view of perhaps "automating" the system for 2016
On 4:20 the seedlings were transplanted into 6ltr Air-Pots of amended coco coir and placed outside during the day and under T5s during the night.
Last weekend they were transplanted into 15ltr Air-Pots
All the gurls have been extensively lst'd and suppercropped during their life and after 11wks of veg they are now almost ready to start the "light dep" experiment.
From this weekend 5:31 I plan to put the gurls into a ventilated tent every evening from 6pm and to bring them back outside anytime after Sunset and before sunrise.
My predicted harvest period being early to mid August.

This will be interesting to watch. Just my .02 with moving around OD she beasts. I'm guessing they're going to be pretty good sized and a pain to move around once weighted buds start forming. Is your blackout tent pretty close to where they'll be out side? I'd suggest extensive staking. Nothing sadder than snapped off unripened colas. Best of luck and green mojo Multi. I'll def be tuning in for the show

Thanks for swinging by Ston.

I'm fully prepared for the Light Dep experiment.
All my gurls are already fully staked, they're being suppercropped on a daily basis and not that much bigger than my indoor gurls when I flip. From flowering position to the tent is approx 10', I'm not overly worried about moving them twice a day

Light travels faster then sound....... This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak

Funny you say that. Just got back from Home Depot and seen pot dollies, and thought of this thread.

Light Dep started today

Sunrise 06:12

Light Dep 18:00

Sunset 21:38

Plants set back outside at 22:00

It took no more than 4 mins to put the plants away and fetch them back outside. There's no skateboards that'll cope with the 1" joints between these granite sets, pic 10 above :p

Harvested on Monday 3rd of August

Both Shark Shock CBD's produced to tightest buds I've ever grown
While the Satori smells fantastic the buds were very airy and surprisingly prone to excessive rot, bad phenotype I guess
The lake of Fire smells awesome and totally stank my yard up with its airy buds.
The Mt Rainier went totally herm on me at wk 5 and was dispatched

Overall I'm super impressed with outdoor Light Dep and will continue to grow this style outdoors from now on.
I wish I'd been growing out proven genetics from cuts rather than starting from seed, other than that it was a total success, in my opinion.

I'm sorry I've slacked over posting pics and will try and see if there's any suitable pics hiding away on my cell

The light dep continued after my first harvest, very unplanned and with more foresight I can for sure see how it's possible to pull off two light deps per season. Today I pulled "all" of my outdoor girls inside to finish them off iin a more controlled environment. The FJC had some rot this morning and will probably be harvested soon. Back in the UK I never would have bothered with an outdoor grow, I'm stoked about the prospect of pulling off two outdoor crops next year

They're looking great. I like the corks on the ends of your stakes, good way to prevent yourself from getting an eye poked out.
