This is one of the grows I did with T5s. Thought I would put it up just in case someone wants to know if ya can Grow from start to finish with HO T5s. This is some Bagseed Weed I grew a few times cause it was so good.

Yeah,,HOT5s will deff work for flowering,,but HPS will kick T5 ace. I did this back in 2008 in Florida I believe.

I would think the buds are less dense than grown with HID, is that true?

Yes,,although if ya keep the T5s 2'' away from tops,,they come out pretty good,,but still wont be as dence as HPS will give ya. Ya just cant beat HPS for Flowering. I have seen LED grows that did not look near as good as my T5 grows LEDS are getting better,,just dont think they are as good as HO T5s.

yes you can grow some good pot with just t5's........... I grew out an AK/blueberry cross with T5's when I first started growing........ got some dense buds but heat was an issue for me compared to HPS growing in a closet......... I do love t5's fpr vegging....... but a 4ft 8 bulb t5 cost as much and uses about as much electricity as a HPS and can't compete on final product.

I know thats right Grower13. Heat was an Issue when I changed to the 2700K Tubes for flowering. They are great for Vegging and the 6500K tubes dont get near as hot.

Weedhopper, do you think 4100k bulbs would work for flowering? That is all my small town has to offer.

Man Bro I dont know anything about 4100K. I guess ya could,,just not sure how they would do.

Ozzy, THG and a few others will know.......... I use two kinds in my t5.

The 4100k seem to be useless for growing on their own. I know I should have 2700k for flower but I thought I might get away with it. I have a 6 bulb fixture, I will try mixing 3 of each and see what happens.

They will grow WEED,,you just wont be happy with the outcome. Lots of time for little fluffy buds.
