Has anyone tried the mix. 50% Pete moss,25% sand 25% perlite? From what I gather from reading it's great when you supply all the nutrients during the grow. I was just wondering if it's worth trying

I have not, but I do enjoy feeding on every watering myself, that's why I use the small rock wool cubes,

I don't see why it wouldn't work. But I'd add lime to offset the peats acidity.

IMHO you are better off as supplying all nutrients for your girls.

it would drain good thats for sure. nutes shouldn't hang around. i may do a test a plant with the mix on the next grow..be interesting to see none the less.
only reason i ask is because i have been using roots original and its like adding nutes to it is to much for the plant.. i did an entire grow with it once. didnt add anything but water the entire grow,, and the plants did well..

You can get better results by providing all the nutes. That way, if you don't add it, it's not there. Or visa versa.
