A neat product for container growers.

If you grow in buckets, it's a pretty ingenious idea. A plastic platform that lifts your plant 2 inches above the drainage tray so the plants are never sitting in the drainage water to reabsorb the runoff, and they're lifted for good airflow around and under the bucket.

.$8.99 each.........nope. I made basically the same thing last year. I used a 8" net pot, cut the bottom 2" off, and inverted it in the bottom of my 5 gallon buckets. And they only cost $3.50 each.

The guy who started clean roots is an awesome grower by the way, and he spent a good amount of time with a manufacturing company doing the prototypes and testing, I'd say a year before he actually started selling them. If anyone is hitting the Max Yield show in Boston next month, he'll be there.

He's working now on how to make the legs adjustable to so you can not only have the drainage and airflow, but also be able to help keep the even canopy.

I've watched some twitter grows that have used them, mostly home growers of 4-6 plants. For large grows I agree, the $9 each would get pretty pricey Cubby. I had Hubby build a fake floor in my room that kind of looks like a wood pallet, with plastic on the floor underneath. That keeps my plants lifted and all the drainage goes onto the plastic.

I just asked him about the pricing, he said that it's injection plastic, not blown, and that the platform holds up to 200 lbs, which is what makes them pricier than the flimsy ones that are blown plastic.

(that info is for you guys, because as a girl, the difference between injection plastic and blown is lost on me, lol)

If you're a New England grower and you're heading to the Max Yield Indoor Garden expo in Boston today I'm running a little contest with him for today only.

Take a selfie with East Coaster Dam, (you won't be able to miss him, he'll be wearing an East Coaster Dam hoodie) Tweet it to me @Melvanetics I'm going to pick my fave one at the end of the day and give the winner a nice, fat Melvanetics seed prize pack.
