Morning all!
Weedhopper, I was in be and asleep before midnight, too. However, a huge noise woke me right before midnight--it took me a minute to wake up and remember that it was New Year's Eve. We had what had to be dynamite along with fireworks announce the start of the new year. One of the guys down the hill has a celebration every year, but this seemed to be bigger and louder. We cannot light off fireworks in the summer because of fire danger. So, my friend's bf always gets fireworks and something that makes a HUGE boom. I think he went bigger than normal this year because we have no snow and avalanche is not a threat. I threw my robe on and sat on the front walkway and watched the festivities.
LOL--like I thought might happen, the sisters did not make it. I will believe they are coming when I see sis's white Jeep pull into the driveway.
Thanks guys for the recommendations on things to look for on the Jeep. The crankcase was the first thing I checked. It seems to be leaking some oil, but it was down less than a pint. This vehicle has been driven very very sporatically over the last 6 months--probably less than 100 miles. Can this cause problems with seals? We has someone look at it and they did not believe that it was leaking from either the front or the rear main seals. I can deal with that if that is what is wrong. However if the bearings or rings are wearing out, I am not up for an entire rebuild.
It is hard to believe how fast time goes by--those of you who are young take note of this--before you know it you will be in your 60s looking back wondering how it all went by so fast. Friends were over early yesterday and we watched an old Family Guy from the turn of the millennium. Hard to believe that was 14 years ago.
Enjoy your day! And everybody, toke it up, vape it up, bong it up as needed. Today is the start of a whole new year!
