why u place plastic bag on the cups ?

@BudGrower I use the plastic bags as a humidity tent when I sow the seeds and remove them when the seeds come up. Same as starting seeds under a dome.

@BudGrower Not really to speed it up just to provide the proper environment for the start and to keep the soil moist while I wait for the sprouts to show. As soon as you see those cotyledons you need to pull those baggies off, or the high humidity will cause crazy seedling stretch or leaf rot. One of the reasons I start my seeds so low in the cups is so that if I miss pulling a baggie and get that stretch I can top off the cup and bury it.

Sorry I've been MIA, had internet issues, then computer issues. I'll get all caught up on this thread in the next couple of days.

Some updates from the flower room.

First up, 2 Frosty Buckeye gals at day 13 (Strawberry Frost x 89 NL5) x Buckeye Purple, and I flipped the 3rd start today, don't know its sex yet. I was calling the one flipped today a runt, but I think it's just a Deep Chunk leaner from the Strawberry Frost mom.



Next I have 2 girls out of the 3 starts of Northern Grape (Grape God x 89 NL5) The male showed very early in veg. These girls are stretch monsters thanks to the grape fruit lineage, and are already too tall for the flower room. Next couple of days I'll get them staked and tied down or when the buds come on they're going to burn.



Two Gorilla Grape F3s at day 5, not sure of their sex yet. I still have one more of these in veg waiting for space in what is a super crammed full flower room right now.



Finally a couple of shots of a Super Critical Plus that a local growing friend passed me. I was a bit nervous about bringing a Greenhouse strain into the grow, but my buddy ran this gal in his od last year and a couple of times now in his indoor without any herm issues, so I said I would give it a shot. He bought the seed from attitude before last year's od.

I've smoked it a couple of times with him and really liked it, although I found it better from his indoor than his outdoor, probably because he's an early chopper on his indoor which gives more head buzz, but he leaves his od to finish out, which made it way to sinky for me. All the full plant pics were blurry, but her structure is very nice, and for only day 27 she sure is filling in and getting VERY sticky.

As everyone knows, Sunday IS critter killing day. As all the gals were out for treatment I shot some pics of some of them to kill time while they were drying.

Late 90's DJ Short Blueberry day 30 that I've been running forever, and that starwarz ran forever before that. Gave her nute burn this go around, not sure how I managed that. I think gardening on cookies made me forget to label the bucket or something.

Northern Blue day 25. I crossed the DJ Short Blueberry to my 89 NL5 male. I've found 1/5 that didn't show true herm in the first 3 weeks. Those that ran clean didn't even nanner at the end, and have been awesome tokes. Blueberry mom will put out end stagers beyond day 65 so it makes sense to think it's coming from her side, and as I've never seen a nanner on all the NL5 I've made and run with my male. This is a clone of one of the clean running gals. She's over fed too, I really need to stop gardening on the cookies.

When I ran the Homewrecker I got 5 males, I was totally bummed. I think if you still go to Cannazon I have a grow thread on them there in TCVG's forum. Kult I still have seed int he fridge, but have never popped.

That Gorilla Grape F3 is a pretty plant. It sure looks too bushy to be a male. Males always seem to be lankier as opposed to bushy, but you know how that goes. Very nice looking plants though

Quick note. the bushy Gorilla Grape is a male. He did a minimal amount of stretch while he was flipped too, and showed pretty quick. I've kept cuts from him as he fits the mold of the type of plants I like for my short stealth space. Think he may be daddy to the F4s, but we shall see.

Got a little update today.

Some new starts up 3 days. Northern Banana (OrgnKd Banana OG x 89 NL5), 89 NL5 F3 and some Jaffa Cake from Immortal Flowers 'cause I just can't get enough of Supernatural's orange frosty funk!



2 Northern Green (Buckeye Green x 89 NL5) 3 weeks old



On the left an 89 NL5 F3, on the right a Buckeye Jack (98 Jack Herer x Buckeye Purple) also 3 weeks old.



Banana Buckeye 4 weeks old. Recovering from being topped about a week ago. I have another one of these that got about 50 days veg and was just flipped a couple of days ago, waiting to see sex. Really hoping somewhere in these F1s to find the banana smell and flavor from the banana OG, but with the purple buds from the Buckeye Purple. That is my dream pheno in this cross. I have hundreds of seeds to hunt for her, and when I find her, I'll never let her go, lol.



Currently flowering Gorilla Grape F3 #1 (I have 3 girls flowering right now) day 25 for this one.

@Grower13 This pheno of the Frosty Buckeye is the best of the 3 running right now. There so many strains mixed up in this cross that the pheno expressions are going to be endless, lol But that's part of the fun!
