that's basically what I did except when it bent 90, BOTH sides of the stalk started to split open where the crease was and ended up splitting about 1.5" up and down along the stem

I assumed that split happened because I didn't weaken things up enough so I tried different band-aids / casts

is the stem supposed to split/break open @ the bend ??


I'll have to practice this more. I don't / won't feel comfortable doing this to IC yet...

For flowering I wouldn't go over 900PPM's food strength for Indys and 600PPM's or so for Sativas for starters.
Your plants will tell you what you can do, but that is a good starting point that will not burn anything over say 12" or so.
If you are using vegging food 600 should be good for either variety.

been thinking about this and my (very limited) experience of replenishing my tote nutes...

I've been using a 975-1000 ppm for vegging under T5.
after 2.5 days (lazy) it has been as high as 1500 ppm (1.5x1000)
so I've decided to start with a 425-450 ppm under the assumption that will swing into the mid/high 500's and hopefully not too far into the 600's before I do a maintenance refill and bring it back down.

all this will change completely around once I find out what sex these darn bag-seed plants are so I can pick out a beauty queen and get her into 12/12 LED ASAFP

once that happens I'll have to put IC and the clones over into VEG side with the T5
unless I can take the clones into flower before the parents decide to show.
AHHHHHH!!!

I can't wait till I'm done with these bag-seeds, but I have learned sooooo much from them, I can't imagine not starting (learning) this way.

420friend, have you thought about putting your big plants into flower and then just pull the male if you get one?

unfortunately my flower side is not as "roomy" as the VEG side so I can't fit everybody.... but.... I could fit just the bondage tote hummmmmmm

and then if that's not FEM , kill-it and move #1 into the tote already over in flower
and by removing a tote from VEG I will have room for IC in veg

The leafs are all bowed and rippled, many layers deep.
I cant even try to tuck all the fans so there is A LOT of overlap but even the "itty bitty, down @ the base of the stem" leaves are all puffed out

This plant (I sure hope this is FEM) is NOT going to be happy when the light goes out for 12 hours!

They might not be used to the brighter led since they have been under florescents their whole life.When I move my plants from under my t5's to under hid's I will keep the light higher above the plants and slowly lower them closer. I have a light meter I use when I adjust my lights.
